Similar to racism or sexism, speciesism is a sort of prejudice that strives to establish the superiority of one group over another. Because they aren't humans, non-human animals are defined by speciesism as little more than things to be exploited and mistreated for research, food, cloth, or entertainment rather than as unique persons with their own interests, talents, abilities, and personalities. More people can join PETA in their efforts to put an end to discrimination, injustice, and cruelty against all animals by ordering their new animal rights bookmarks, sharing them with friends and family, and leaving them in public library books in the library or in one that you want to return.
